2023 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge – Body Shop Part 2

Welcome to the 4th update in our entry to the 2023 Porsche Restoration Challenge!

Previously we dropped off the car next door at Caliber Collision(https://www.autobahnporsche.com/journal/2023-porsche-classic-restoration-challenge-body-shop/). Not only is Caliber a Porsche Approved Collision Center, but they are also our partner in bodywork for all our customers.

After the inspection in our last update, Caliber went to work and started dismantling the vehicle. First, Caliber removed the doors, the front windshield, and the rear glass. Then the glass, especially the rears, were stored securely, and the doors were in their station getting worked on.

With all the essential parts removed, the next step can begin: repairing the body by sanding and shaping the body panels. The restoration process continues, so stay tuned for our next update!
